RussellM
hey guys, I am having what seems to be a light strike issue with my gen 4 34 and i wanted to see if anyone had some info or insight into this issue. As stated it is a gen4 34, I have a lonewolf drop in barrel, glocktriggers.com challenger trigger kit, jager steel guide rod with 13 lbs spring. I am using CCI 500 primers because I have alot of them and my previous sig had no issues with them so i bought 20K. I will only get one of these every few hundred rounds or so and the rest of the fired primers will look like they are supposed to. Is it the cci primers or maybe the lighter striker spring? Let me know what you think.
SirLoin
My friend shoots a G34 and he gets tons of light strikes with CCI primers + his lightened trigger. I shoot a G35 and have had issues as well with light strikes if I'm using my lightened trigger kit. I switched to Federal Match Primers and haven't had a problem since. Let me know what you think. Use Federal primers exclusively and you should have no problems with light strikes. To finish up your CCI primers, I suggest putting your factory striker spring back on if in fact you have replaced with a reduced power version from your Glocktriggers. kit. RussellM
Thanks guys, I kinda figured it was the CCI primers. I am stuck with the CCI's since I have 20,000 loaded rounds for the year, Between the glock and the full auto MAC I bought they should get used up by the end of the summer. Will a lightened or extended striker help or is the only real cure to reinstall the stock striker spring?
LPatterson
Cheapest stock striker spring. Better lightened Jager striker. Best Jager striker & Federal primers.
