TYLAG DS
I bought a Glock 21 for 3-Gun matches, and set to work attempting to lighten the trigger pull with a 3.5# connector and competition spring package from Glockworx. Had them all installed by a Glock armorer and it functioned properly, but the small trigger safety would not fully engage when you let your finger off the trigger after firing. A Glock master armorer looked at it during a GSSF match, and told me the firing pin spring was underpowered. He replaced it with the factory spring, and now my trigger pull has gone up to about 10 pounds!!! Any suggestions on what combo of springs (and their # designations) would work best to get me back down to a competition trigger pull?
Braxton1
More than likely, the combination of a stronger trigger spring (the coil spring inside the trigger housing) and a weaker Firing Pin spring made this happen. Rather than replacing the FP spring, try to get rid of the trigger spring and go back to stock. I've found that the trigger spring has less influence on total trigger pull weight than the FP spring does.
sauza45
I run a 15# wolff recoil spring and the factory striker spring and factory trigger spring with the 3.5# connector. My trigger pull is right at 3.75 pounds. when I put a lighter striker spring it drops down to about 3.0# but mushy. I dont like the feel. As said you can not run a heavy trigger spring and light striker spring. I would put the factory trigger spring back in if I were you.
