EVIL HUNTER
I have had a square deal for a year now set up for 9mm. I am getting into the 1911s. and am going to want to reload 45s. What is the best way to convert back and fourth that makes the most sense and what is it going to cost?

Hi-Power Jack
I have had a square deal set up for 9mm. I am going to reload 45s. What is the best way to convert Cheapest is to buy the caliber conversion kit - have to change the small to large primers, change die head and change the powder. Easiest way is to "buy another SQ D" Good luck, Jack

I have seen pics of full tops on guys benches. Are those full set ups something you can buy fully set up?
Hi-Power Jack
I have a square dealset up for 9mm. and want to reload 45s. What is the best way to convert back and forth Give a call to Brian Enos and he'll set you up real easily - don't think it will cost a $100:) Cost even less if you can find someone willing to sell you a 2nd hand set of .45 dies/shell plate/large primer set up. ImplodedmindZ
I bought caliber conversion and quick change kit so I wouldn't have to readjust everything could just drop it all in. Then realized no one really makes a stand or anything and didn't want it laying around so I made one. Whole setup runs about 200$

So all you have to do is pull the head and shell plate and your off and running correct?

I still have a spared .45 dies and head I may sell if I don't get another SQB I am returning to shooting and deciding if I should go the Square Deal B since I have a lot of the misc parts left, or get a XL650 and use the Lee .45 & 9mm dies I still have. Okay, TMI. Anyway, here is a video from You Tube (not me) that walks you through the replacement. Note, he already has his tool head setup to swap: Edited February 20, 2012 by hmp32
