bigtmiller
I have a chance to shoot a 3 gun match this weekend. The match director is going to loan me a rifle. I have a handgun. My benneli is stock. How many shells will it hold with plug out? How hard is it to put a tube extension on? Do you think I can get one by Thursday ? Any ideas where? Thanks for your help. Pretty excited about it!
gng4life
If they have the tube ext. in stock, Shooters Connection can get them to you quick, fast, and in a hurry.
HRider
Chris at CPWSA keeps Nordic tubes in stock, is a Forum dealer and a great fellow to do business with. Hurley
RUSHARP2
my M1 would hold 4 in the tube with the plug. Doable for a small match, but not ideal. I would order as soon as you can. I ordered my extension from Chris at CPWSA. He has very quick turn around. You need to know how long you want.
gng4life
Hey guys, no bashing or trying to put down CPWSA but I had a problem with a parts shipment that caused me to miss a major match. Yeah, my fault for not keeping enough stuff on hand but I was told it would be shipped that day and it wasn't. I have ordered at least 30+ times from Shooters Connections and every single time, they get the shipment out the same day and if you get the order in before about 4:30, they will get it on the UPS truck that day. Ground delivery makes to to SC in two days...every single time so far. I just don't want you to be disappointed if you order it and it don't make it there like it did for me... Are the tube extensions hard to put on? Shooters connection has then in stock.
RUSHARP2
The extensions are real easy to put on. You unscrew one and put the other one on. For me the hardest part was the cutting of the mag spring. Most people recommended about 12-14 inches longer than the barrel. just know that you need a extension and the barrel nut to get it right. I have never done business with Shooters Connection, but they have a great reputation. Edited February 14, 2012 by RUSHARP2

Sounds like bashing to me. My personal experience with multiple orders with CPWSA has been stellar, including ordering stuff on Wednesday night and having it before Saturday for a match without any kind of priority shipping put on it. That said have done business with Shooters Connection, Speed Shooters Int., Speed Shooters Specialties and Dawson and have had good results with all. Maybe I'm just lucky like that though. I agree... you may not have intended to bash, but it sounds that way to me as well. It would have better just to add a +1 for shooters connection and leave it at that. Take your issue up with Chris. I happen to know Chris personally and count him as a friend(he may have another view). I have ordered from him(he is a one man show after all), multiple times. He has never let me down in the slightest.

Ahh...No...I was merely relaying my experience with a vendor. I do not want the OP to have the same experience since he is dealing with a tight deadline. I go off of experience in many situations and I think most of us do...I was trying to relay that experience since that is what we are doing here...relaying or absorbing experience to better ourselves. Bashing is ": to strike violently:hit; also : to injure or damage by striking:smash—often used with in;: to attack physically or verbally <media bashing> <celebrity bashing>"* and I did neither of these to CPWSA. I would and have ordered from them again but never under a tight deadline. I have no vested interest in either and have never worked for either but as it was stated above, it is a "one man show" so it may be tough to get some things out in an expeditious manner. Again, I still order from both and like both places and both have great prices, selections, and support our sport. *http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bash
DanL
Bigtmiller, whatever way you go with getting your magazine tube ext. I hope it gets there in time to install and test prior to going hot at the match. Good luck and have fun. Edited February 15, 2012 by DanL
bigtmiller
I ordered from shooters connection - it shows it will be delivered today. So great service. I picked up a 8 shot side saddle today for my benelli m1, BUT then I started seeing reviews saying the M1 would not cycle sometimes do to the weight? Should I not even bother with opening the package and just take it back? I have nothing else bolted on, but with the 8 shots in the tube and the side saddle, is this bolted on...? Thank you for all the help so far. Tom
twodelta
I use an M1 with a 26" barrel and a plus 6 extension. I have a side saddle and a two round caddie for slide lock reloads. I've never had any issues with it cycling if I take care of it. Cleaning every 1000 rounds or so seems to be sufficient for me.
bigtmiller
Got my tube on. Looks good. I guess I'll go ahead and put the side saddle on and see what happens. Thanks for the help
HRider
My M1 will cycle with Walmart value pack ammo with an 8rd side saddle, an 8 rd armband attached to the forearm, a 2 rd slidelock caddie, and a 6rd stock cuff.I do not use any of these things on my gun. I just put all of that stuff on it to see if it would cycle. Hurley
gng4life
Awesome! Glad to hear it. About the side saddle, that's a strange one. I have heard guys have two exact M2's, both with side saddles and one will be flawless and the other will choke. Could be other factors but this seems to be the trend, it's just seems to be on an individual basis. Maybe it will work for you but test it out before a match. Here are some threads about sidesaddles: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=139547&st=0&p=1576590&hl=+side%20+saddle%20+m2&fromsearch=1entry1576590 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=131412&st=0&p=1480541&hl=+side%20+saddle%20+m2&fromsearch=1entry1480541 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=145570&st=0&p=1633551&hl=+side%20+saddle%20+m2&fromsearch=1entry1633551
