ceejayex
Looking at Briley and NC extension tubes. The NC is in my price range... Is the Briley better? I also noticed that Surecycle SRM has what looks to be their own. Mag Clamps are they necessary? One claims he has never used one in all his years of 3 gun, another said the NC clamp forced the ext. upward toward the barrel which was causing him problems. Your thoughts? J-Ho
Personally I really like Nordic. I had and older design that broke, the new design is stronger from what I understand. I wasn't real happy about having something that broke, but I'm not exactly gentle with my guns. Nordic's customer service was awesome. They sent a new design ASAP and it hasn't given me any trouble since. I don't run a barrel clamp on mine. Just my $.

mertbl
I have the Nordic +8 on my 930. Its pretty flimsy without the clamp. Stock follower for now.
HRider
I have Nordic tubes on my Benelli Nova and M1 super 90. I run Nordic clamps on both of them, and back the tube off 1/4 turn before I tighten the clamp. That is supposed to allow the tube to move with the barrel and not affect slug groups. I have not had any bad experience with Nordic, I am completely satisfied with their stuff. I have not ever had a Briley tube, so I can't comment on them. jackary
I am also looking into the nordic tubes what length would match up with a 24inch barrel
ceejayex
I am also looking into the nordic tubes what length would match up with a 24inch barrel Someone told me that a +6 would just about come to the end of my 26" barrel, so definitely a +5, or +6 if you don't mind having it extend past the barrel. Sc0
I have the 24" M2 and a Nordic +6 tube, add the new 3/4" mag end cap and it will be flush with the barrel. Without the extended end cap it's about 3/4" shy of the muzzle. I also have the Nordic clamp with a sling stud fitted, 10-32 stud fits fine. Charles Bond
X rail now has a one piece machined tool that replaces your entire magazine tube. It is stronger and there is no place for the follower/spring to catch.
HRider
I am also looking into the nordic tubes what length would match up with a 24inch barrel It depends on the kind of gun that you are putting it on. My 24" Nova has a +5 on it (factory tube capacity is 4) and it is flush with the end of the barrel. My 24" M1 has a +6 (factory tube capacity is 3) and it is almost flush with the end of the barrel. Other makes may be different based on factory tube capacity and location of barrel ring. Nordic's website will give you dimensions of their tubes so you can pick the one that will best suit you. T Bacus
I'm not sure of the release date but Lancer was showing some really nice carbon fiber extension tubes at the SHOT Show.
warpspeed
I run an open Rem 1100. I have had a Daves Metal Works ext on my 1100 for several years and have no problems. I do run a clamp. Mostly because I'm afraid it will get caught on something and it sticks out past my barrel. I do run the NC spring & follower. I think it is a huge improvement over the factory Rem one. Edited February 4, 2012 by warpspeed

It is stronger and there is no place for the follower/spring to catch. Mark is really happy with the response on these. I can't comment on how many different models will be offered but it looks like almost everybody will be covered. I might have to buy a M2 just to have one!
