bishtoo
Hello , new to the forum , but not to reloading. first let me state , I love reloading and hate case prep. especially rifle.I use the Dillon rapid trim , it helps. I chamfer and deburr on a RCBS trim mate. After a hundred of a thousand cases it gets old. I have been reading here that folks are using tumblers with steel shot to clean their brass, one poster even went so far as to say he does not need to chamfer and deburr using this process, that got my attention, does anyone have any experience with it ? mlmiller1
No experience with stainless, yet, I do know they dont use a conventional vibratory tumbler. They also are using water with the stainless so it adds a drying step to the process. You might do a search. Lots of good info & pics of homemade tumblers. 427Cobra
I use SS media to clean brass, the lips of the necks get slightly peened from the process, no biggie for pistol brass but precision rifle brass gets gets trimmed and deburred every time, also because the brass is so clean I lube the necks with graphite powder to aid bullet seating and release.
