Progressive Press Die Question

I don't own dies from every manufacturer with which to make a direct comparison, but I suspect the answer would be Dillon dies. Dillon advertises that their dies are made specifically for progressive presses, with wider openings to prevent the sort of hangups you describe.

Of course you need to consider the function of Dillon dies if you're going to use them in a LnL. Dillon presses expand at the powder drop station, so the die sets don't contain an expander die. If you're using a PTX setup on your LnL then you'll be fine, otherwise you'd need a non-Dillon expander die.

For 9mm anyway, it sounds like you already have a die set so you could always just order a 9mm Dillon sizing die by itself. Our esteemed host can help you with that.

Thanks for the info. I might just pick up a Dillon sizing die and see what happens.
