Hornady LNL Roller Handle

Recommended Posts

Thank you for the compliment. Feedback has been great on these and helps to assure me that I am on the right track. :D

Here is a teaser prototype photo of the Ultramount during its testing phase. A few small modifications, increased to 3\16 steel and currently at the laser shop. Then off to powdercoat. It is pretty sweet! 8-)

I am very pleased with the final product. 3\16 thick laser cut steel, rock solid, beautiful black powdercoat. Has an optional arm that supports the bullet feeder as well. I am working on a top plate for it that will be pre-drilled & tapped for the common presses out there. Dillons,RCBS, Etc.

I welcome any feedback or suggestions. :D

I keep looking at this handle. Is it easier to push primers in than with the stock handle?? I have a bad right shoulder and need some mechanical advantage for primer seating.

I find that the Inline Fab handle does make seating primers easier. For me, it allows my arm to straighten up at the elbow, then I can just give a little lean forward to seat. The effort seems more like a weight transfer forward, rather than an effort from the shoulder or tricep.

I like it. It will go good with my Ergo handle and LED lighting.

Dimensions please? Height, depth, etc. Spacing between mounting holes.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thank you. I ordered the handle and will report my observations.

This looks great two questions…. how far does this move the press rearward and can we get this in Hornady red????

It moves the press 3 1\2" to the rear.

Red.....Hmm.....I haven't perfected the Hornady red yet. I have got quite close, but it is quite time consuming as it is a 4 stage process.

LNL - Roller Ergo handle and light arrived in the mail. I looked on the web page to see how to route the wires and found the "Gen 2" light with the disconnect plug...that had I known about I would of ordered....(four letter words later). BUT - how did did you route the wires to keep out of the way?

I received and set up my Ultra Mount last week. After running a couple hundred rounds through the press, I don't know how I used the press without this mount! Everything is much more stable. Personally, I have no problem with the stock handle....but after seeing the build quality of the mount, I may have to give one of your roller handles a try. Keep up the good work!

Pictures of my setup with several items from Inline Fabrication. UltraMount, Ergo handle, and LED lighting. I'm using a Dillon primer warning system and an RCBS lockout die.

In the background is a Pacific 366 20 gauge shotshell reloader. I also have a 12 gauge 366 (with a 28 gauge die set) and an old Pacific 007 that share space on the bench.

I really like how you mounted your press to the bench. I have to think how to use that on mine..... And my Toro push lawn mower is red also but I bought it 15 years before I started to reload..... Maybe red is more than a color... and something blue on my bench would be .. Unsettling..... :sight:

Hey kbeck 76 what is the channel that you put into your workbench? And can i get it at any hardware store or did you have to order it from somewhere?

Thanks Greg

It's called T-Track and it's pretty commonly used by woodworkers for building jigs. I ordered this from Peachtree Woodworking. I used the heavy duty track (it takes a 3/8" bolt). I think track that takes a 1/4" bolt would be fine also but I wanted to be sure it was strong enough. Kreg and others make T-track that takes 1/4" bolts. Rockler, Woodcraft, and other woodworking type stores should have T-Track.

I used a router to make the dado to contain the track. The Ultimate Reloader website has some details of this kind of reloading setup.

My reloading bench top is 3" thick (2 layers of 3/4" plywood and 2 layers of 3/4" MDF) so it was plenty thick for the track.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Just recieved my std height roller handle. The throw is perfect for me sitting on a stool. The motion was easier on my arm and I did not have the usual ball print in my palm. I don't try to go fast but I did cranked out 300rds faster because the handle is more efficient.

Thanks Dan this is a nice upgrade for the LNL.
