perrysho
Try www.lapua.com top left click on load data. I have never loaded VV N340. But I load 3.6 gr VV N320 - 200 gr Plated RNFP 40 S&W Bullet Works for Steel Challenge. NOTE - 4.5 or 4.6 gr N340 should be a starting place. Have FUN be SAFE, Perry Edited January 28, 2012 by perrysho
waktasz
Out of what gun? I just chrono'd my 200gr load with 3.4 n320 and it was a nice 135 pf. 3.6gr for a steel load seems like a lot.
perrysho
Mr. Waktasz, I shoot Steel Challenge most of the time with a STI 6.0" 40S&W Eagle tuned by Dave Dawson. I Chrono with a CED-M2. I load what works for me, and will try hard not to pass on any load info/data. All pistols do not Chrono/perform alike, Weather and Temp also effects. Glad you own a Chrono, Most folks on the forums have never seen or used one. Have Fun, be SAFE, Perry
waktasz
Glad you like it. Most people I know that shoot steel shoot a sub-minor load to get the softest shooter they can. I usually just use my normal production/IDPA load though. Edited January 31, 2012 by waktasz
perrysho
Mr. Waktasz, I have loaded .40s and .45s with WST and 9s with Titegroup for the last several years. Just started using N320 this past year, just bought my second 4# pounder. I like it a lot, except the price. LOL Will be 76 in April, shot USPSA & Steel with grandsons about every week weather permitting. Another I like a lot, 40S&W 165 plated The Bulletworks/or Rainier RNFP over 5.0 N320 - OAL 1.140"For Steel also. Do you know Ted Murphy - IDPA in your area??
