Tula web site?

Anyone know if Tula ammo has a web site? I've good results loading Tula/Wolf sr primers for 40 so when I saw them on sale, I ordered a bunch. When they arrived I found that they are the new "223" designation primers rather than the standard sr I've been loading. Web searches saying conflicting stuff with some saying that the cup is harder than the regular Tula sr to counter slam firing and some even saying that they are "magnum". I see lighter fp strikes with standard Wolf sr so if they are harder, might not fire.

Anyone know the url for Tula ammunition? Have a few hundred loaded so might be the only way to really tell is trial by fire...

About 30 seconds of intense Google found this: http://tulammousa.com/ Hope it helps!

Thanks! Oddly I did search and did not find that home page. I searched for Tula primers and Tula ammo but failed to include ammunition.

From the sku it looks like I do have sr magnum but not the new harde primers. Those have NATO 556 in the description whereas the primers I have are labeled 223. The seller describes all the rest the rest of the magnum as "magnum" except these on sale primers but the part number does have an "M". I wonder how many more (if any) fps the magnum will give over standard?

Even changing lot numbers can change velocity. You really need to chrono any time you change any components. :surprise:

  • 2 weeks later...

I use the tula .223 primers for my Ar with 24.5 H335 and 55g bullet. They are GTG, no misfires after about 3000 now - at least the primers fault.

I WAS hoping to load them for 40 pistol practice rounds and save SP primers for match ammo.

I say WAS because I got to test the new Tula magnum primers in pistol and 1 in 5 did not fire. Strike looks light in fired and mis-fired. Standard sr by Wolf, Win and CCI all 100% but not these Tula magnum primers. Once I confirm the Tulas shoot well in my rifle, I guess I will have a very healthy supply of rifle primers...
