Xander
I'd just like to know how to replace the trigger pin with the newer pin, how difficult it is? Any info will be great, thanks
burningsquirrels
not difficult. off the top of my head: remove slide drive out old pin, leaving the punch inside the gun as a slave pin drive in new pin carefully, pushing out the other punch *take care so the trigger spring doesn't go flying. i usually do this with a finger on top of it to prevent flight once the new pin is in, you'll need to flare the opposite end using a pointed punch. *to do this solo, i put my regular punch on the desk pointing at the ceiling. then i put the gun on top with the punch pressing on the pin. then i hold the pointed punch over the opposite end of the trigger pin, and use my right hand to swing the hammer until it's flared. is your current pin walking out of place? CocoBolo
Its a bitch. You need 4 hands. If it isn't broke don't fix it. Be sure to do this in a place where it is impossible to lose flying tiny springs. It helps to have a short cheater pin so you can put the trigger sping in the trigger outside the gun, Then when you put the new pin in it just pushes the shorter pin out. Like I said if you want to spend three hours curising go for it. Make sure you understand how the right side safety block goes in and works. You need some small punches and tweezers straight and right angle, and plenty of light and good vision. A magnet helps finding parts that fly around. I did it twice putting the Cajun Gun Works ERRW kit in and then putting the stock trigger back in, be sure to get the solid trigger pin the spiral pin sucks. Xander
Nice post, that's what I thought so but just want to make sure I'll do them right. Mine is ok, I just want to replace them with the CGW pin. Thanks bro
enutees
My old pin moved pretty easy so I just used the CGW pin and drove it out with some light taps. Didn't even take off the slide. I'm sure there is some reason not to do it that way but it worked.

Racer377
The CGW trigger pin is a god-spend. No need to flare it, and can be removed/reinstalled easily. It even comes with a small slave pin that makes it much easier to reinstall the trigger return spring if you have to take it out for any reason. Lee G
If you remove it, you definitely need to replace it with the CGW Pin. You'll need a starter punch and a heavy hammer to get the original out. I've never had any luck removing it in good condition. The CGW can be removed with just a punch and virtually no force required.
