vtecrx
When using a Nordic extension on a benelli when the extension is longer than the barrel is it advisable to use the Nordic clamp? I will have an 8 shot tube on a 18.5" M1S90 Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
prreed10
Most tube manufacturers recommend a clamp if the tube extends past the muzzle. You'll be about 3" past so it may not be a bad idea - its really up to you. I run a 21" with a + 9 that extends out about the same and I don't use a clamp. My gun shoots slugs more accurately without a clamp.
bigbrowndog
a clamp does more than support the length, it also keeps the tube from coming loose and allowing your SG to hammer the threads off. I use a clamp on my Nordic, beacuse its aluminum when i used a steel tube I didn't use one. but I would also have a tendency to poke ports open with the muzzle so the clamp aided in keeping the aluminum tube from taking too much punishment.
