david s
Your Stock 1 has the 4.5" barrel, just order the conversion caliber kit you want. My 38Super Match (4.75" barrel) also wears a 9mm conversion kit. Your frame is the same so you could order the Match conversion kit with the Adj. rear sights or even go to the Limited conversion kit. The Limited Kit i ordered yesterday should be here in March. Just call EAA!

I'll try again. my first interaction on them was ...ahem...weak. phone answerer, while sweet, was a dingbat and didn't know the product line at all. CHA-LEE
I have had similar issues when ordering replacement top ends. Its best if you call and tell them you have an EAA Witness Limited and would like to get a XX Caliber top end for it. This way you will get a complete Limited Upper assembly (Slide, Barrel, Guide Rod, Recoil Spring, Sights, etc). The price should be around $475 for a Limited upper assembly. If the price is significantly less, like $250 then they are trying to sell you a standard caliber conversion upper assembly, which is not what you are looking for. Jumbo30
This is off topic but will a Single-Sided "Gold Custom" thumb safety fit a Small Frame? Edited January 6, 2012 by Jumbo30

And couldnt get past whatever her book told her. I am looking for a limited upper. it doesnt appear that they still sell the comped uppers. if anyone has better infor on that, id be interested. jmg

bamayne
I ordered a 9mm gold team upper from them about two months ago. Took about two weeks to get. It's the v-12 gold team upper and you can get one from them. I think it was around 575.00? I didn't think that was to bad of a deal to get into open. mumzer
I think the prices are very fair actually and two weeks lead-time is very modest. thanks for all the updates.
david s
In stock it could take two weeks. Order depends on what time of the month you ordered. If order was places early in the month and the moon & stars are right, it could be 30 days if the factory in Italy has item in stock. If not, add at least 30 more days. Boat docks late each month with Eaa's order in Jacksonville, FL. By the time EAA gets their stuff on the shelf its the first 10 days of the new month. Prices seem very fair! CZ wants $450 for just a Shadow upper, if they can get it! What would S&W want for their LS upper on one of their custom guns? I can't think of another manufacturer or importer that could or would supply us with the kind of parts we are able to get from EAA. Our biggest problem is dealing with the way the EAA's owner has his sales department set up! Can not order on line, no follow-up, no tracking #'s no nothing! Can be very rude! Owner just doesn't give a ____! The Weaver Bridge scope mount(for Hunter 10mm) i ordered (along with the Limited conversion kit) the other day will probally take until June to get. Hard to believe it's on the shelf in Italy! More than likely one run a year of scope mounts are produced at the factory, just don't know when. Mount was in stock last July when i got my Match upper from them. If i wasn't such a cheap old skinflint i'd have the damn thing. acekc
According to a conversation I had with EAA recently, uppers ordered for Elite series guns will likely require fitting by a gunsmith, since the original frame and slide are hand-fit to one another. They are correct. My issue was a slide too large for the frame I was putting it in. Then, I went to another cut limited custom frame...and it was too loose. I fixed that by putting the frame in a vice Worked for me. Not saying it would work for you. Edited January 23, 2012 by Mo Hepworth
