fastarget
Looking to see what the accuracy is 15-35 yds with Bayou 180n FP, loading for Minor, but Major loads would be intesting to look at as well since it takes certain velocities to stabilize bullets. Looking for less costly accurate practice bullets. Prefer subjective testing, compared to other bullets, from a rest is ideal. want2race
I loaded my 180gr, .400" diameter Bayous over 5.0g (iirc) of Universal. 10 rounds through the chrono. They were as consistent as my Zero 180g JHP load. At 20y all 10 rounds were touching. 6" Schuemann standard barrel. Yielded 177pf, I backed it down to 4.9 and started cranking. I've loaded black bullets (moly) over 3.8gr of Universal for 138pf load as well. Very, very soft. STI 6" barrel.
fastarget
Excellent, I want to buy for the year, but thought to check first, it is for practice but I like them consistant and accurate.
noylj
What is accurate in my gun may not be in yours. I shoot lead and moly in all my comp guns and have no leading in the comps. Others say they get horrible leading. Some guns can't shoot Rem GSs and for others, it is the ultimate bullet. I get great results with 175gn L-SWCs. Others get lousy results and their guns just chew up 180gn L-TC. However, Bayou are good bullets, for practice or match.
