Nate
I am looking for summer weight (as light as possible) BDU's. I am short waisted and most pants make me look like I have a load in my pants. Anyone out there solve this problem with a specific brand?
Ben-Sons
Look for brands that size their pants like uncle Sam used to. IE waist S/M/L length S/M/L not 32x34 They don't only make the legs shorter, they make the crotch-waist measurement shorter also. Hope this helps

itchy
The 5.11 tac lite pants seem to be a little more comfortable than the cotton pants in warmer weather. Get the size you need and take them to the uniform store to get them hemmed. The pants will last at year at least, so that's about a buck a month to get them fitting properly. Ben-Sons
@ 5'8" the short size is ok with bloused boots, med is a little long for unbloused or regular shoes.

Seiichi Nate knows a seamstress who would be honored if someone asked her to hem something for them. Just sayin'.
