bruised lee
Good day guys. Like the title says I'm planning on buying a spo1 but I am not very familiar with the gun. Are there anything I should Look out for? Like a problem model , how to tell if its too old etc. Do they have different versions like glock 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th generations? Any input will be greatly appreciated!l Thanks in advance for all help and advices. Dave
CeeZer
There isn't much that can go wrong with a CZ SP-01. Make sure you get it for good price - (used) $400-550 or so, depending on round count and finish condition.
burningsquirrels
if you get a non-shadow, make sure the firing pin block is still in place. just lock the slide back and flip it over, like a glock it'll have a plunger in the slide. Is there a problm if you get one without? No different variations like gens for glock? Thanks
burningsquirrels
the firing pin block needs to be in place to be production division legal. not sure about IDPA.

bruised lee
the firing pin block needs to be in place to be production division legal. not sure about IDPA. OKidoki. Will look out for it, though no worries about IDPA, never shot one and no plan on shooting one yet. Looks like it has too many rules to be fun. Thanks Gerard
rhgunguy
I will warn you of two things: 1)Keep an extra slide stop or two on hand. I've never broken one, but others have. 2)CZs are at least as addictive as crack cocaine. Otherwise, keep it well lubed with slideglide and it'll run like a dream. burningsquirrels
things break like any other gun, but you really need some rounds through it before you worry about it i think. the big ones are slide stop, trigger return spring, ejector and spring, i forget what else.
