sschultz
I did not want to hijack the other CZ thread so I started a new one. I have been doing a T&E for our department for a new semi-auto shotgun and had taken all of the guns to the range. I brought my CZ with and during the shooting my CZ started to not extract the Federal buckshot loads. It had shot these in the past with no issues. It shot the low recoil slugs and some old tactical buck just fine. With new Federal loads the bolt would come back and the empty hull would be pulled about an inch out of the chamber. Is possible that its just a dirty chamber or could be a more serious issue. Schultz
gerritm
This is very similar to what the Fiocci 7/8 oz low recoil slugs did. Some came out and looked like a stove pipe jam in a pistol, a couple of others barely came back out of the chamber just enough to remove them by hand. One or 2 ejected, but barely. Shot everything else fine including Brennecke tactical home defense redueced recoil slugs. From what I can tell with what little shooting we have done with it, it does not like low weight low powder loads. Our chamber was clean and the rest of the gun had been cleaned and well lubed before we shot it.
sschultz
After posting this I took the gun apart and took a bore brush with a patch and some polishing compound to it. Ishot it with some of Federal loads and it worked fine. But I can't figure out whhy it shot them before and then had a issue. Now it's fine again. Maybe just a dirty chamber. The federal cases are a smooth case while the others that I shot were ribbed not sure if that made a differance. Schultz

Schultz As a new CZ 712 Utility owner, I appreciate you starting another thread about your issue. I encountered a similar buckshot problem; even with Winchester Military surplus 00 buckshot rounds. I will pay close attention to the chamber along with the general lubrication state of the weapon when I break it down again. Thank you. sschultz
I also blew out the extracter and lubed it. What was funny that there were no extracter marks on the empty case rim.Wonder if the extracter spring is a little weak. Schultz
