chbrow10
I am a USPSA pistol shooter first, and a hunter a distant third. Brian has said in his book and on some of Matt Burkett's podcasts, that you really need to pay attention and be aware while shooting. I've spent the last year or two trying to improve the focus levels in my pistol shooting, and I have seen improvements. Lately, I've spent a lot of time with my rifles for upcoming hunting trips. I've noticed a much higher level of "awareness" with rifle shooting that I never experienced before. I'm seeing things that I never even knew were happening. I wonder what other opportunities there are for crossover between the disciplines or even other areas of your life? Chris
Skydiver
You'll probably notice that you've become more "aware" of: - the competence level (or lack thereof) of other people's gun handling and muzzle control at the range or at the gun shop - distances (eg. number of steps) between locations like walls, doors, windows, etc. in your daily life - what law enforcement officers are carrying on their duty holsters

I apply what I learned about awareness, while training and competing, to everything I now do. be
