PHX
Hey all! I finally got a limited in 40, so its time to set up mags. I know you can use the H-141 pad with the K40 tube and a 11 coil grams spring with grams follower for 21 rounds. Can you add the H-141O pad and get a few more rounds? Will the mag still be legal length for uspsa limited? Thanks!
Skydiver
You'll need a magazine gauge to check, but I think you may need to trim a little bit off the feed lips if you are off by a hair.
bikerburgess
I don't think so he says they are longer than the normal H141 pads and I know with the H141 you have to grind a little off the back of the feed lips to get them to fit the guage. you may be able to take more off the feed lips and make them work but I dont think you would get another round in there without doing some other mods as well spring? follower? bamayne
The h-1410 pads will not fit the 140mm gauge. I think they are for open only. I know the old h-141 pads will work with the new k-9 mags in 9mm but I'm not sure about 40sw. I think they will work just fine.

I don't think the H-141O pad makes the mag longer than 141mm (hence the name). The main difference is how tight it fits. The old H-141 pad fits tight on the Tanfoglio branded mags, but its a tad loose on the new MecGar mags. However You get the same round count with the H-141's in my K9 mags that Henning is getting with the H-141O and the K9 mag. If there is any difference in length, I don't think its enough to get another round in the mag.
PHX
Ok. Thanks for all the input. Ill just get the normal 141 pad and be happy with 21 rounds of 40. :-)

They will not fit the gauge and are not for limited. I have both and I'm sure.

I have both and I'm sure. How much longer are they? Seems odd that Henning would make an extension that won't fit in the 141mm gauge, yet doesn't hold any more rounds than one that DOES fit in. Maybe I'll ask him the logic behind that..
bamayne
It seems strange to me too but if you look on his website he lists them as USPSA/IPSC Open division pads.
glefos
Isn't it H141O, not H-1410? I thought the O designated Open Division.
Nealio
Well if that's the case I'm glad I didn't order them. I don't get why have to pay an "extra" $3 for an extension that doesn't give you any more rounds than the H-141 and isn't legal in Limited..
