davehorn
A shop near me has both a used late model M2 and M1S90. The M2 looks new and is $899, the M1 is a camo bird gun, $499. Unfortunately both are 26" barrels, but that is a relatively inexpensive fix. Each will need mag tube, bolt release, etc. to get game ready. My question is what is big difference between the two? The M2 has the comfortech stock, the M1 does not. Other than that is it worth the extra $400 for the M2. Thanks
OPENB
Functionally, that is the only difference. Last week, Dick's had the M2 with the solid stock (the American) on sale for $799. Some would suggest getting the American & a Limbsaver recoil pad, & spending the $400 saved on your mods. I have an M1S90/HK, that is what I did. I'd suggest the M1. Send it to Guncat to cut & thread the barrel.
Mark R
I believe the M1 Super 90 is no longer made/sold by Benelli...the M2 replaced it in their catalog. They both shoot good.
davehorn
The M1 the store had on their website was actually a Beretta Es100. I bought the M2, now I'm just waiting for parts!
