Hoffer
Is there any general angles, height and foot support dimensions for the average rooftop prop? I want to build one for practice
HRider
The few that I have shot from were built on a 6-12 or 8-12 pitch and anywhere from 6 feet to 12 feet tall. The steeper ones had toe boards. Even shingles are slick in the winter with frost on them and they get real hot in the summer sitting out in the sun. promod1385
Carpet is what I see at most local shoots. Cover it with a tarp when not in use.

MarkCO
I've shot from several, most 20-45 degrees (angle), and plywood with carpet or a pallet for the surface. Some were made to be "comfortable" some were not. I'd prefer the "not" for practice.
buzzworm
One of my guys built one that I think he said is 6-12. It is steep, 6' off the ground at the upper end, and all shingle. No toe board, no carpet.
cyburg
A buddy of mine built on that you are able to adjust the pitch by pulling pins and raising or lowering it. HIs has shingles on it.
