fastarget
Ok, I am tuning 4 mags for 40 cal S-I for IDPA, all 4 mags have Grams followers and springs. It is a slow process but not difficult. Load two dummy rounds, insert mag into frame only, strip top round and see if the slide stop moves with one round left. No problem, the design seems to accomodate multiple calibers that way. I noticed different followers ride into the mag to different heights, the tubes have been tuned, should I leave them alone, or sand on them to make them ride as far up as they will go? So I am tuning them as they sit in the mag body, and it is working but: Now the question, 2 of the followers (all new) have slide lock tabs that are not thick,( thin where you would adjust them) after adjusting they are pretty thin, the other two have thick tabs that allow plenty of adjustment without looking fragile. Which ones are the "newer" followers from Grams and how thin can you go on the tab before concerns of breakage or bending under spring load?
