KalaniLaker
Has anyone tried the Hornady Steel Match in 9mm in an S_I? The OAL seems awfully short. Have you guys shot it over a chrony? I guess I'll have to try it myself. Kalani

smokshwn
Kalani, What are you trying to shoot it in....a custom or stock S-I? FWIW I have a stock STI Tactical that will run factory length to long length 9mm just fine. My Bedell open gun also runs short or long 9mm ammo without complaint. If it's a custom gun see if your gunsmith set it up to run the shorter lengths. Edited December 22, 2011 by smokshwn
fastarget
I read it will meet minor PF in a 5" gun, but no personal experience with it.
KalaniLaker
I was able to squeeze in an hour at the range this afternoon. Ran through eight magazines of HSM 9mm. GTG! Judging by my Mk 1 Mod 0 Internal Hand Held Chrony, seems to be equal to WWB in terms of Power Factor. Accurate too. Kalani
TGO
Kalani, this is good stuff and very accurate. I have shot nothing but short factory length 9mm ammo thru my hi-cap guns with no problems for many years, maybe decades now! Rob
