fred5876r
I would like to buy a Clark Custom STC barrel for my S&W Model 41. It will be used for steel with a C-More Railway sight. I am seeking advice as to which one to buy, 5.5" or 6.5". The difference in weight is 3.5 oz., which of course would be way out front. For example, I bought a 4" 617 because I like the balance a lot better than the 6".
gng4life
I don't own any Clark barrels for my M41 but I do have a Bully. However, if it were me, I would get the 5.5" barrel. The swing weight is more important to me on Steel so that would give you a faster transition time, theoretically. Also, remember the C-More is going to add another 5 oz to your pistol. Good luck! Jaxshooter
I have the 5.5 STC barrel on my Model 41. I shot both barrels before I purchased mine. The 6.5 is really nose heavy and I did not like it at all. I think the gun is very well balanced with the 5.5 and the C-More on the Railway mount. I have my C-More mounted so it does not over hang and interfere with the ejection of brass.
fred5876r
Thanks, guys. Exactly the info I was seeking. I just ordered a 5.5" (I got the last one they had in stock).
