Bill Senior
I'm looking at the Geisselle Automatics M4 Benelli hammer to get the 922r parts count down in my M1 Super 90. I asked Geisselle if their M4 hammer would fit the M1, but they did not know. Can anyone help me out with this? Are the hammers a common part across the Super 90 series? Thanks very much. watson385
It works in my M2 without issue. Not sure about the M1.
Tom D.
Man, I love this site! Didn't even know they were making a hammer for Benelli autos. What advantage does this hammer give over the stock unit?
bsp212
No advantage that I'm aware of, just gives the m4 another 922r compliant part.
Chuck Anderson
It's hardened all the way through instead of surface only like the Benelli part. (At least according to the info a Team Benelli shooter gave me) Allows you to do a proper trigger job that will hold up.
Tom D.
Chuck, Had hoped that was the case but Mr. Geisselle himself said that there was no advantage that it was for 922r compliance so, maybe others will post further info. Thanks for the replies.
Smokin
No one that I know of makes a replacement magazine (only extensions) for the M1 or M2. So now you can get a follower, and hammer. Still a ways from 922r compliance unless you use the Surefire handgaurd
bsp212
Dave's metal works and a couple of others make an extended tube for the m4. There are also us made plastic forends for the m4 as well as the surefire. Plenty of parts out there, just need to search. The surefire forend works well and is not too bulky with the ladder type rail covers. Sorry for getting off topic.

Carriercomp makes a great titanium replacement mag for the M4. My point is that no one makes these parts for the m1/
Bill Senior
Many thanks for the replies and insights. Brownells has the Geiselle M4 hammer in stock. I'll order one and see what's what.
