Is anyone loading 135 Gr 9MM Plated Bullets???

I am on my 3rd thousand and had a problem, at an indoor range last week. Either had a couple of tumblers or plateing seperation. Anyway I had 2 weird tears in a paper Bullseye target. Was working on a pistol, and testing some loads. Loads were 135 Gr Plated - 4.1 Gr Titegroup - Federal Primers - OAL 1.130. Shot 25 of the 50 I loaded, all others performed well and very accurate groups of 5. Taper Crimp whch seemed to be good

Any IDEAS or thoughts??

Thanks in advance,

Perry

That load sounds a little on the hot side. :surprise:

Most of the time, with plated bullets, when that happens, it's from too much crimp. You only need to crimp enough to remove the "bell" from the case.
