perrysho
Is anyone loading 135 Gr 9MM Plated Bullets??? I am on my 3rd thousand and had a problem, at an indoor range last week. Either had a couple of tumblers or plateing seperation. Anyway I had 2 weird tears in a paper Bullseye target. Was working on a pistol, and testing some loads. Loads were 135 Gr Plated - 4.1 Gr Titegroup - Federal Primers - OAL 1.130. Shot 25 of the 50 I loaded, all others performed well and very accurate groups of 5. Taper Crimp whch seemed to be good Any IDEAS or thoughts?? Thanks in advance, Perry
RH45
That load sounds a little on the hot side. Most of the time, with plated bullets, when that happens, it's from too much crimp. You only need to crimp enough to remove the "bell" from the case.
