550 PRODUCTION STEPS WITH A CASE FEEDER ?

Recommended Posts

Debating with self to buy or not to buy a case feeder for my RL550B for 9MM only.

Now I am placing a new case into position No. 1 nd a bullet into position No. 3 and pull the handle, rotate the star then repeat.

Someone please explain how the case feeder works, and the steps you use.

I use a 650 w case feeder for .40S and a Red press for .45s

Thanks in advance, for you help/thoughts,

Perry

I recently added a case feeder to my 550b. The right hand stays on the handle all the time. While I'm pulling the handle I'm grabbing a bullet with my left hand. I'm still experimenting but I either do it one of two ways: place a bullet in station 2 and then advance the star OR advance the star and place the bullet in station 3. It's a little awkward to advance the star with a bullet in my hand but the bullet can also tip over when I advance the star.

eisenhow,

Thanks for the reply, how does the case get into station no. 1 ???

Do you push, pull, press something to load the new case?????

I downloaded a case manual but I guess I'm to dumb to figure how the cam plate and loading parts work and is that part manual??

Thanks,

Perry

Was it worth the $275 + shipping??? Or should I sell the 550 and buy another 650??? Once set-up I don't change calibers.
