zach epstein Posted December 17, 2011 Share Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) I hate that no one in my family takes my sport (uspsa) seriously because every time i take my family to a match theres more beer bellies than athletic people. seriously! so many guys that have every gadget and gizmo to make them better, how about some effin push ups and a run!!!!!! i get it if your old, you put in ur time so let that dunlop dangle. But if your 25-50 seriously your making shooting look like its not a sport.... and those race team shirts dont exactly hide your inability to attempt some PT. Every one in my family is a fighter and im the only one who shoots. All the guys trip out when they watch people shoot and move, wondering why if guys take it so seriously then why not do PT? Oh and i hate that the only people my age shooting cant carry a conversation about anything but beer or how cool they are. But at the same time I can only hear about how some old dudes wife cant find out about his new pistol..... dude grab ur nut sack and get a divorce.... if she dosent like your sport then she's probably a soup nazi. I also hate when people assume im made of a million dollars and suggest i go out and buy a race gun just like theres and shoot every match from orange county to the world championships..... dude i work at a gun range for ten bucks an hour and go to school full time..... thanks for the consideration asscracker.... Last but not least I hate the guys who use a baby stroller to cart their insane ammount a crap around from stage to stage..... that was the deal sealer on my dad never getting into shooting with me.... thanks baby stroller dude.... did it come with those awesome chrome wheels or did your gunsmith custom make em for you to match your sti.... I still love shooting btw and i cant sleep cuz theres two awesome matches this weekend. PEACE!!!!! ps i left gramatical error in on purpose to let the grammar haters hate.... some ones gotta look out for em.... haters also if your obese this doesnt apply to you cuz thats a medical problem and ur awesome for gettin out and doin the damn thing. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you might not have read the rules on "hate" threads. In all honesty many shoot for "fun" and their definition of fun does not include winning but includes things like BSing with their buds, buying and using the latest whiz-bang gear, for them it is purely a social event. From a competition standpoint I carve out the bottom 50% of shooters as just doing it for fun, not really competing. There are many shooters that consider Physical fitness an important part of the skill set needed to win. Nice rant though, as soon as a MOD wakes up it will be closed. As most people get older their life experiences make them less judgemental. David E.
