prc77
First AR build for me. I am really digg'n the LAR right side charging upper. JP lightweight profile 16" barrel., JP trigger ACE ARFX stock, BCE comp.VTAC handguard. Weight is a big issue for me. I will not be shooting any BIG matches and also want to use it for Tac Carbine classes. Any issues with this set up??
Jetracer013
I would watch the comp for carbine classes. It is unpleasant to be standing next to a guy shooting with one of those. The side charging AR is also a much different set-up than most will be running. The clearance drills and manipulations will be different from what everyone else is doing. Not bad, just different. Red_SC
The rifle I'm running now has side charging handles on both sides. Having a right side handle isn't very beneficial IMO for this type of rifle, although it may work for a precision rifle. If you want a side charger, get it on the left.
