West Texas Granny
I'm hooked. Didn't take more then 3 rounds to do it. It's total now. Pistol, rifle and now shotgun. Going to shoot tomorrow and a turkey shoot Sunday.
LPatterson
Don't get too hooked, a prime trap gun can easily cost triple an open gun. To keep your head on straight, shoot some doubles.
AzShooter
I loved the days I spent shooting trap. It helped with my quail hunting skills. Also helped with my pistol shooting in my timing. I ended usp spending way more on my trap setup and reloads than on my pistols but that first 25 straight made up for it. Good luck. An 870 still makes for a fine trap gun. doesn't cost much and shoots like a dream when set up for you.
West Texas Granny
I shot a round of skeet and 2 rounds of something the guys called wobble trap this morning. I hit about 25% of the clays. Now I've got to find room in the apartment for 12ga ammo.

warpspeed
I love doubles If you think your first 25 strait from the 16 is a kick, nothing like 50 strait doubles.

Right now I would be happy with hitting 1 double. Did have problems hitting birds from the high house. Anyway it was fun even though I only hit about a quarter of the birds .Funny thing though. I got several comments about seeing the light.
Scott R
Did have problems hitting birds from the high house. Sounds like you were shooting Skeet instead of Trap?
2alpha
I was thinking the same thing when I read "high house". There is no high house in trap, there is one in skeet and a low house. Many people use the words skeet and trap interchangeably to describe clay bird shooting I've noticed.
