SmittyFL
I've seen that before, it's very cool. My only issue with the realism is the tires rolling UP the ramp, even after one hits the other, the original one continues UP. I don't know about that. Something like 300 takes to get everything perfect. No CGI used. Incredible... Almost as incredible is that Honda never aired it in the U.S. Why wouldn't they air something THAT cool? ErikW
Yup, one take, no edits. But it took weeks to get the one take. And for the Francophobes, IIRC, they did it in France. Maybe it was England.... I get them confused.

From Snopes: "In answer to the most frequently asked question about the commercial: The sequence where the tyres roll up a slope looks particularly impressive but is very simple. Steiner says that there is a weight [in each] tyre and when the tyre is knocked, the weight is displaced and in an attempt to rebalance itself, the tyre rolls up the slope." Reminds me of a game called "Mousetrap" that we played when I was a kid. dj

glockman30
Reminds me of a game called "Mousetrap" that we played when I was a kid. I remember that game too. Cool game. The tire trick was cool. I just finished a Physic class, and I was saying no way the tires would do that, but if you weight them just right.... I could see it working. Pretty Cool! raz-0
There are plenty of tricks, but they are all in camera or practical, rather than computer generated. The big one is the tire weights. There are others though. There is also unspecified post processing on it, but I believe it is mopre of the looks pretty category (i.e. evening out lighting and whatnot). It wasn't released in america because the car it advertises ins't (or wasn't) for sale here.
