Cy Soto
Is anyone using N310 or other Viht powders for 40 cal Major? I have seen N310 used in .45ACP but I don't perceive it to offer any advantage over Clays which is readily available and a fraction of the price of VV. The_Vigilante
I have used N340 for .40 S&W in the past-there are loads for it.
ebg3
I shot a ton of 340 when the power factor was higher then switched to 330 and shot it for a while before switching to 320. I tried a few jugs of 310 and really didn't see much advantage over 320 and it was harsher on brass. All of this was in .40 loaded long and to major PF. My 2nd choice after 320 would be 330 for VV powders.
Col. Mortimer
I use N330 in .40S&W w/ 180g MG CMJ. 5.3g just made Major PF in my Glock 24 with a KKM barrel. 5.4 or 5.5 might be required for a shorter barrel. It's cleaner than WSF but expensive, even more than N320 and harder to find.
