Religious Shooter
I guess it's not uncommon to have pistol only stages in USPSA 3-gun matches (my 3-gun club does it all the time). In those cases it would be advantageous to use a race holster -- in my case a CR Speed. But now that multi-gun is going to be OK in USPSA, I don't like the CR Speed in a multi-gun stage where you would run around with the pistol and then draw. Sure I can lock it and run around (and it's not going to go anywhere with the CR), but when it comes time to draw it doesn't feel fast since you have to unlock it. For a multi-gun stage I would rather have a plain old Bladetech or other carry/production type holster. The pdf format that the USPSA rulebook doesn't do searches real well. Anyways can you change holsters in a USPSA 3-Gun tournament from stage to stage? (Title of forum says "...rules...")
Vince Pinto
RS, There are no rules preventing you from changing your handgun holster during a match. Having said that, I doubt that a MG stage would have any stages where you use nothing but your handgun. Hence it's most likely that you'd want to use your Blade Tech for all stages in an MG match. Hope this helps.
uscbigdawg
Just run a Bladetech or Safariland 'Custom Fit' and call it good. Rich P.S. Are you coming up for the CA 3-Gun Series, in Sacramento this weekend?
Religious Shooter
Where in Sacramento is it going to be at? The same range where the class took place? The Area 2 board doesn't give specific info.
SVI4ME
Yes at the Sacramento Shooting Center. I believe that is were the Cooley class was.
uscbigdawg
RS, Yep, same place, just on the other side of the range (i.e. instead of turning right, turn left and go to the IPSC range). Rich
D.Hayden
I looked in the 'announcements' couldn't find anything about this. Is there a website with info? Thanks, Dave.
