GunBugBit
I'd have expected to see Wilson mentioned more as the great all-American 1911. I don't own one but I'm under the impression that everything, from the frame/slide forgings, to all the parts manufacturing, to assembly and finishing, are done in the US of A. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
jcc7x7
Dan Wesson are real nice for a resonable price. I bought a hertitage cause I knew I was going to change some stuff. The gun fit is great trigger only needs a slight tweak for wgt. Mine came with the cocobolo grips instead of the rubber so I saved there. Give them a look! GunBugBit
Just bought a Dan Wesson Valor and it's a fantastic pistol. I have heard that the forgings aren't done in the USA but everything else is.
MadeByMattell
Predator Tactical is made in USA, but above your price point. Models start at $2700.
