ErikW
Any experience with these? How do they differ from the Reduced Recoil (RR12RS) slugs? Apparently these are high brass and the velocity (1200 fps) is the same as the RR. RL12RS at Midway
EricW
Are these two products the same? (A 1 oz slug travelling at 1200 fps) I think this question has been asked here before, but a search didn't turn up anything.

davidwiz
EricW #1 - On Remmy's LEO ammo page, they only seem to have have 1 type of "Reduced Recoil" 12ga slug listed: RR12RS, which is a 3 dr. eq. 1oz slug doing 1200fps. Re: Info that Eric Warren posted about the slugs that Midway carries. Midway only lists the weight and velocity of the slug - 1oz, 1200fps, no other info. Remington product # seems to be RL12RS Editing this post yet again, doing a google search on "RL12RS" points to http://www.remington.com/ammo/shotshell/ma...oil_slugger.htm No info about dram eq. but it seems to me that the "Reduced Recoil" and "Managed Recoil" Rem Slugs are one in the same, just marketed to different groups - the "Reduced Recoil" to leos, the "managed recoil" to everyone else. skeeter
remmington is selling managed loads in a lot of different calbers(30-06 .270 ect.)so the slug is just going with the flow.
EricW
Just got off the phone with Remmy. Not even Remington is sure that MRS and RRS are the same product. Same specs: yes. Same components: clueless. No matter. I now have a solid line on purchasing RRS, so my problems are solved. The RRS perform so well for me that I'm just going to buy a case or two and be done with it.

EricW
From a wholesaler. I haven't decided yet, but may sell them online by the case after seeing the prices for them elsewhere. I posted in the dealer forum about it so we could keep the commercial discussion there.
kimel
I have been using the Federal RR and my 1100 gobbles them like candy. $37 per 50 from Ammoman.com...when they have them. But if I can support a local dude and fellow shooter by going Remmy then count me in. Shawn was talking about stocking them too...I think.
