2011 Area 8 Championship

The Area 8 Match held in Fredericksburg VA is history.

There were 13 revolver shooters, with two GMs [Josh Lentz and David Olhasso] running neck and neck through the 10 stages. In the end, Josh edged Dave by 7.6649 points, a mere 0.063%.

Both had only 1 mike, with no penalties or no-shoots, and only a handful of D hits.

Both shooters finished no worse than 3rd on any stage.

Both shooters won 4 of the 10 stages. Josh had an edge by finishing 2nd on 5 stages, with only one 3rd place. Dave had three 2nds and three 3rds.

So it all came down to best A and C hits, and fractions of seconds in completing stages.

Josh is shooting Area 7 next weekend, and then the Nationals. Hope that you aren't stretching yourself too thin, guy.
