AGYoung
Being new to the STI EDGE. Can anyone provide references as to how to remove the grip assembly from the frame so I can do a detailed cleaning and inspection of the internals? Took off the screws but I must not know where the 'secret" lever is.
diehli
There are bushings that must be pushed out of the grip and frame as well. Do a search... this has been described in quite a bit of detail elsewhere.

While you have the grip off, send it to have it fitted to your hand and textured at this place: www.advancedperformanceshooting.com
ErikW
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't removing the grip completely unneccessary except to get at the trigger bow? Every other part of the gun should come off with the grip still attached to the receiver.

ErikW
Me, I have never removed a grip on any of my modular guns, the oldest of which is over 5 years old. (Gunsmith had to remove them when he hard chromed them, though.)
