Ken
Just back from Las Vegas. Made a brief stop at the Hoover Dam on the way to the Grand Canyon. What a great example of man's accomplishments.

SiG Lady
I've been there a couple of times. Went on the tour down into the bowels of the thing, too. God, talk about awesome in every sense of the word!!! It'd GOTTA be one of our more strenuous (short of the Panama Canal project) endeavors in concrete. Many documentaries have been made about it. See them if you haven't already. Ken
I didn't have time on this trip to do the Hoover tour tiself. I absolutely will do that next time around.
Dalmas
Well worth to spend some of the winnings from the strip on... I was there in 2002 and if you really want something extra out of it you should hike up the mountain on the west side, it's even more impressive from up there. I'll be back to do it again. AGYoung
Lots of great things across AMERICA. Spent part of our summer vacation at STURGIS but the trip included a close up look at MT RUSHMORE. That, is awe inspiring.
D.Hayden
Has anyone taked the tour (inside) lately? I had heard they cut some things after 9/11. I took the Shasta Dam tour inside as a kid, it was pretty cool. Not as tall but wider.
Dalmas
I took the tour in 2002 and we got the full tour, but security and screening was pretty tight.
