Forensics Doc
I had narrowed the choices down to a Glock 34 for USPSA Production until I found out that the Springfield XD-9 is now legal also. The XD-9 feels much better with my small hands but I prefer the 3.5 lb. connector of the Glock. Is there a 3.5 lb. connector available for the XD-9? I've read other threads comparing the two, but any additional insight would be appreciated.
eerw
Don't think there are that much in aftermarket parts available yet..but the Springfield Custom shop offers two levels of trigger work for the XD... I have heard some descriptions of mods on the existing parts..but I don't have any detailed notes on how to do it..

DougCarden
man, I tried the $200 Trigger job from SA, Holy S@#t! Batman!, I will be having one of those soon! Reset is incredibly short, and it is really light. I dry fired it next to a stock, and I like the stock trigger out of the box, but the good one from the Custom shop is night and day difference! My .02 cents....DougC
sfinney
There are several guys doing trigger jobs on these things now.... check out www.hs2000talk.com and search "trigger job" for more info, opinions, smiths, etc.... Novak, JoJo Vidanes (rumored to be the BEST XD trigger job), Springfield Armory, and some other lesser known guys. Just make sure that they are doing a real trigger job, not sticking in JB Weld to reduce take up, reset. I'm probably sending mine to Springfield to keep the warranty intact. Tried to get Vidanes to repond by phone and email, no luck, so I'll get someone else to do it. Anyone had any luck contacting JoJo lately? I'm not getting any response from website, email, phone (voicemail), or fax....
