versa pouch?

I'm thinking about getting a couple of the CR Speed Versa pouches. Do they work well with both of the 1911 single stack .45 mags and the Glock 17 9mm mags?

there are different spacers that have to be changed out to make both mags work. its not really something you can do on the fly. the pouch has to be removed from the belt to change the spacer

I used them with single-stack mags for several months, and just switched them to STI/SV mags. They work great with both, though I'd likely get Safariland pouches if I was really into the single-stack thing. BTW, changing them over only took me about a minute each.

yeah, they'll fit the 1911 single stack mags and the glocks, but I don't really like the setup for the single stack mag. You have to use spacers to get them to fit, increasing the space in the rear of the pouch to push the mag up against the front. For the slim single stack mag, the spacer pushes it up so far that the spine of the mag doesn't line up with the notch made for your index finger. It may not seem like a big thing for some, but it was enough to make me switch 'em out for some 771's. If you're looking for one pouch for all, the versa pouch is pretty much your only choice.

The Aluminator mag holders will work for almost all mags with little or no mods. Retention would be an issue for me, though.
