MoNsTeR
I bought some STI competition basepads under the (erroneous!) assumption that they came with retaining plates. Y'know, so the pad actually stays on? I don't see the plates listed seperately on anyone's website. Where can I get some?

ErikW
Brownells has Wayne Berqvist base pad retainers that will do the job.
shred
I believe those retainer plates are the one part STI won't sell... that way nobody can accidentally break the law and make a whole new hicap, see?
MoNsTeR
Thanks Erik, I ordered a set of the Bergquist (sp?) plates. But since I have a match tomorrow, I needed an interim solution. I took some of the plastic boxes Berry's bullets come in (250 packs from Cabela's) and cut pieces out of them about 1.25"x.85". Then I snipped the corners and punched a hole in the center. Then I took some computer case screws and screwed them into the holes and voila, home-made retaining plates! Now I'm tempted to toss the Bergquist plates in the drawer and just use these ghetto-jobs
ErikW
Just so ya know, the Berqvist retainers will likely need some trimming to fit.
diehli
Dawson has STI ones listed in their catalog for $1.99 each.
