here is my 1992 transitional 75. It has the czc target sights, race hammer, 85 trigger, cajun flotting trigger pin, lightened trigger return spring, lightened recoil and hammer springs and a full polish job done o1n the internals. I also did a 120 grit SC grip job and 3m traction grip tape for the front and rear grip areas. She shoots amazing and am glad i picked her up for $275 at a LGS!!

Picked up a rusty and rough CZ-75 BD today as a project gun. I think it's time to strip off the poly coat and try some of Great Grandad's Colt Royal Blue hot salts on this thing. I have his tanks and burners and his recipe to match Colt's blue of the day. I cannot think of a better subject to try it on than this one. I will post my progress if anyone is interested.

I'm liking it already, makes me want to look around for another beater to play around with!

  • 2 weeks later...

After repeated applications of Aviation paint stripper and all night soakings in Acetone the old finish is starting to bubble up. That is some tough stuff!

I've been impressed with how tough the poly coat finish is. It holds off noticible wear longer than I expected.

All these beautiful pictures. Are you guys using a picture host site and linking the url? For me, it's saying that the extension that I'm using is not permitted on this site or something. Sorry to digress. I just want to post pics too!

EDIT*** Never mind, I got it!

I have 3 kids so far. Another's on the way.
