steel1212
A barely shot Standard IPSC I picked up last week... ..you need to stop the aperture down, meaning a higher f-number. what is the difference between that and the TS?

Tumbler vs. D type safeties. The engraving on the slide, standard magazine capacity, and the rear sight type come to mind. I also think the guide rod (steel vs. plastic) is different. Other than the safeties/sear cage I've found everything to be compatible/interchangeable.

eerw
Here is my project gun..you know the one you try stuff out on. Used to be a single action only gun, now its running the SRTS in it. You can see how far back the trigger now sits in single action mode. There is virtually no room for take up on the trigger on this gun. I am playing with the DA stroke. its running 4# right now, SA is running 2#. Not sure I would recommend this, but wanted to see where the edge of failure is. When you get it figured out ill send you mine for a retro. Really like the rear sight! Gives the gun a whole different look.

Stuart, what hammer spring have you got in there? I can't get the 8.5# spring to light off more that half the time in my 941, so I'm using the 11.5# reliably right now, but my DA is around 6#??? burningsquirrels
There's more to it than just the mainspring. There's also the firing pin system, geometry of the hammer, and the amount of work done on the action.

eric4069
That combination of Shadow frame with long-slide sure looks good. Wish that'd be available for USPSA Production. Yes, this would be my dream Production gun. Eric

billdozer
I just can't get into the whole da/sa thing, I've tried. I'd like to try one of the ones with the short reset trigger.

G34 CORDY
The czechmatewould be badass! Good god they are expensive though. Thats why I dont have one lol. The da/sa does take some getting use to and the short reset trigger is nice but not needed my sa pull is around 2lb's. We normally slap the trigger anyway when the buzzer goes off lol. It took me awhile to get use to the da/sa since I was use to shooting a G34 but its only one trigger pull then the rest of the stage is a light sa, the da pull is fairly light and smooth.
