jkelly
I'm a "U" Limited shooter ("C" Limited 10) trying for "B". This last Sunday, I shot a 5 stage match, 4 of which were classifiers. After starting out strong (for me) on the first two classifiers ("B" if I used the info off "USPSA Classifier Scores" thread correctly), I had three FTFs on the third classifier. Now this was my fault, I mixed some "practice only" ammo in with my match stuff. The upsetting thing was that I so rattled myself, that I was thinking of anything but shooting the fourth classifier. How do you calm yourself down after blowing a string like that? Respectfully, jkelly
Flexmoney
You can't change the past. Let it go. The only shot that counts is the one you are making right now. (It's in BE's book. )
Chriss Grube
This sport is like any other thing in life S&^t goes wrong get over it and move on. The quicker the better. That is the thing that will seperate the winners from the whiners.
warpspeed
This is where the one thing I learned from golf comes in handy. When I make a bad shot in golf and the ball is the rough or sand or H2O there is nothing I can do about it except play the next shot where it lies. You can't undo what has been done. I know that is stating the obvious but we tend to stop and analyze the reason for the previous problem instead of focusing on the next task. There will be plenty of time on the ride home to think why the problem occured.
old shooter
You might want to think about this. No matter how good or bad you shoot the match, when you get the scores from the match, there is always someone who finished .25% above you. You now think of 5 different places that you might have made up that small percent/time/point. Just remember to not let up and try for everything you can get on every stage and every shot. Thanks all, I'll just try to squeeze everything out of each string. Respectfully, jkelly
