Mini-14 compensators

Anyone with a Mini-14 that had a compensator installed and liked it?

Easy to find AR comps, but can't find much on Mini's.

I've found them at Accuracy Systems (who's building the rifle) and some after market (Shrewd @ Brownells), I heard worked.

The ASI comps that they offer are very good. I have the "Thuster Compensator" and I must say it works too good. Way too much down force. Gun actualy dips down.

I have seen another comp from them called the "linear" and it is better.

If I did it over again, I'd probably have JP rifles send ASI a Cooley Comp and have ASI put it on.

Thanks for the JP idea.. I'll check them out. There's nothing on the site about fiiting Mini's, but I guess it's just metal to metal..

Most of the ones I had seen have 360' holes, I was worried about the amount of dust they'd kick up when prone.

I'll talk to them see what barrels they work with...

(ASI is building it with the Linear, but it hasn't started yet, I've got some time to change things)

You can have JP send the comp directly to ASI.

I was going to do this and the guys at ASI talked me out of it. I wish I had not let them
