I went to a match about two months ago and as soon as I saw one particular individual with all sorts of conservative political buttons on his lapels, I was just automatically irritated for some reason. He's a very nice guy, but I just reflexively cringed. Went to another match, and during the briefing, out came the (totally unrelated to shooting) political announcements and petitions. Cringe.

The irony is that I probably agreed or sympathized with everything to some degree, but I was just as irritated by it as if the Earth Liberation Front had been passing around a petition.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad anybody in particular. It's just that I've come to realize that politics are inherently divisive by nature. I really hate feeling divided or being the "divider" - even when it's my own pet issue at hand.
