ezwin instalation

I did a search and found nothing, so has anyone else had trouble installing ezwin? As a new match director I kind of need to get rolling.

I get an "error occured during the move data procces: -117"

I'm running an original EzWin CD form Val, Windows 98 second edition, and a AMD-k7 processor.

I did email roger at uspsa, and he said "I've been trying to figure out what could be happening. I'm

not coming up with anything useful other than to clean the disk and try it

again."

which I did, and I get the same message. any sugestions?

Thnking back...I might of had more trouble with the XP machines than the W98 machines. But, I can't say that was universal.

A new disc worked for me.

Once you get any version running, goto USPSA's website and download the lastest version/update.

I am not getting that error, but I have two other problems.

The E-mail function never worked on my old computer. I bought a new computer, installed EzWinScore and it worked fine...Till a few weeks ago. Now the E-mail function doesn't work again.

I figured, why not uninstall and reinstall, I did, now I don't have my shooters database and the Import functin will only recognize the old format.

How do I get the program to "See" the database?

I have a workaround that seems to be OK for the E-mail. THe program creates a .ADR file that I open in Notepad and paste to Outlook to send the scores.

Jim,

if you archived the old master database, you just need to stick it in the EZWinScore folder on your C drive and either o.k. the replacement, or have already removed the one that the install dropped there.....

IMHO one of the shortcomings of EZWinscore is that it saves all databases into the EZWinScore folder and doesn't give you a choice about that, forcing you to do a manual backup, each time. If I could save it into any folder in the my documents folder, it would get backed up automatically along with everything else...

The master db is in the program folder and it needs to be there. that part we got past. It is the E-mail part that stopped woking that started this whole mess.

I have a work around, but the program no longer creates an e-mail. I create an ADR file and copy that to the e-mail.
