We are taking these to Vegas so they have to be airline tough. I need each to hold 1 Open gun and 1 Glock. I don't have a Pelican dealer in the area to window shop so I am asking for suggestions/help. Any of you have advice on a model number or size? Thanks in advance! RUSHARP2 Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 I bought the 1500 from Velocity Shooter(best price I found). The case nicely holds my 2 Limited guns and fits inside another suitcase. Tony at VS, traded emails with me as to what I was looking for and what his recommendation was. He was highly recommended to me, and lived up to it. Steve I bought a 1200 from Tony and I can tell you that won't be big enough for you. I can fit two limited guns without mags or one with 4-5 mags. Tony can tell you what will work and will get you what you need for a great price. On another note, make sure you have two locks for each case. The last time I flew TSA claimed that without two locks the case could be pried open enough to steal the gun. That's not really the case but it didn't matter to TSA. CocoBolo Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Pops I got my Pelican from Optics Planet its the one that is the size of a carry on, I put two open guns and 8 mags and 400 rounds of ammo and other stuff in there, it has wheels and a handle, real handy for those long walks thru the Casino with all your stuff. I just can't believe they moved to the Rivera, I stayed there for the 2009 Limited, $28.00 a night, its not a dump, but it can't compare to the Orleans. I always parked out back the parking grarage is not too good. The cafe in the hotel isn't bad but the Buffet well nothing to write home about.
