Bsbllrooster
Wasn't sure where to put this. Mods, feel free to move. Does anyone know how far one would have to put a 10 inch plate for it to be equivalent to a 2" plate at 25yards. In other words, I want to make my 10 inch plate look like a 2" plate at 25yards. Anyone have an equation or something I could use. I think it goes beyond simple proportions but I could be wrong. Any suggestions??
Cy Soto
The answer is 125 yds but I have to ask, what are you trying to accomplish?
Flexmoney
... I have to ask, what are you trying to accomplish? Good question. Ballistics enter into the equation at that distance. And, if it is high power rifle, then the steel hardness of the plate becomes a factor.
Bsbllrooster
Just wondering. Thought it might be fun do do a little long distance work. Its usually the long distance steel that ruins my stages. Granted the match distances are usually around 40-50 yards but a 2' popper at 50yds looks pretty small from behind the sights. Some of the people that design stages for my club like to be a little obnoxious. This is USPSA by the way.
