p5200
I'm not quite sure which hand I'm suppose to be using the most grip with for two hand group shooting the strong hand or, the support hand? I just want to try to start off with the proper proportion of grips with each hand. Thanks!
abn-rgr
I use about 70% weak hand grip. The strong hand just squeezes the trigger.
Kevin Holman
I was taught 40/60 split. Strong hand - 40% of grip - frontstrap and backstrap pressure. Support hand - 60% of group - full wrap pressure.

Bk2X
One thing I was taught to do with the weak hand is to rotate your wrist forward which makes your arms both locked out and gives you consistency.
p5200
I am considering ordering one of the Captain Crunch hand exercisers but, can't quite decide which one I should get. I have a pair of the cheap Walmart grips which I have to use both grips together since they are so easy but, I know the Captain Crunch grips are no joke! Which one do most of you fine people start out with? I wish they were sold locally so I could be sure to pick the best choice for me so I didn't wind up with one that I couldn't even close all the way . All suggestions are welcomed. Not quite sure what you mean by rotating the left (weak hand) wrist but, sounds interesting and I'm working on figuring it out. Thanks!

I can't add links to a post yet but I found a vid on youtube that explains the concept well. If you seearch for "How to grip a pistol" that has a guy in a gray shirt, forward to the 1:35 mark. Its hard to tell without knowing your current size and gripping strength. If you are doing sporting goods store grippers easily then you'll quickly pass anything less than a CoC No.1 (guide or trainer) The jump from 1 to 2 is tougher. I would start with at least a 1. If you feel your grip is pretty well developed already go for a 1.5 or a 2. If you get a gripper that you can't close completely, hang onto it and buy the next one down until you work your way up to it. its good to have a lighter one to warm you up, one to do your reps with (that you can close with effort) and one up that you can't close to work up to. chirpy
Try a tennis ball. When you can grip it tight enough for it to explode then you can get something else! Richard
